On 1 May Ambassador Ronald van Roeden opened the Skulpturpark at the Art Café in Øyslebø, (Marnendal Kommune, Vest-Agder) with sculptures of Dutch artist Michael Rieu who is resident in Norway. See also www.artcafé.no

Dodenherdenking 2008. Vijfenveertig mensen woonden op 4 mei de herdenkingsbijeenkomst bij op het Nederlandse ereveld op het Vestre Gravlund in Oslo. In de toespraak tijdens de ceremonie werd stilgestaan bij de Nederlandse slachtoffers die sinds het uitbreken van de Tweede Wereldoorlog zijn gevallen, waaronder ook de recente slachtoffers in Afghanistan.
